From the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia to Sukhothai, Thailand
We were a family of 10, living life and minding our own business. Busy in the church and attempting to disciple our children at home. But then God called us into the unexpected and this website is the chronicle of that journey into foreign missions. .
OUR MISSION
It is our mission to live surrendered to the Gospel Commission whereby we might do the greatest possible good for mankind with the least (temporal) expectation in return. It is our purpose to learn the true meaning behind Jesus' words, "And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth." John 17:9
WE BELIEVE
We are fully persuaded that the missionary call is for every professed believer in Christ. We believe that will look unique in each life but the end goal will be the same: Christ glorified. "He must increase, but I must decrease." John 3:30
WHO ARE WE?
We are a simple (and flawed) family seeking after Christ. We arrived in Thailand in August 2019 (under the umbrella of Jesus for Asia, our ministry partners and the sponsors for our stay in Thailand) with 5 of our 8 children. We grew by 3 boys and 3 girls, all Thai, within the first 12 months of being here. And then, by March of 2021, God had sent 2 more girls and another boy. It has become abundantly clear that our calling is to serve these hurting little people. We're waiting on licensing approval of our Children's Home, Ban Ta Yim (Smiling Eyes Home) so we're official but, in the meantime, we now (3 years after arriving) have 25 Thai kids.

We're simultaneously passionate about helping others to enter into their own growing experience with Christ and God has given us a church plant and ministry in the business district about 25 minutes away. We call it the Mission Post. It's been incredible to watch Him bring the most unexpected people through those doors!

We entered the online scene in 2009 as an unobtrusive little blog offering a few personal spiritual thoughts. But a passion for the written word led to more words being written and a small readership being gathered. That community has slowly grown over the years and we are now reaching approximately 10,000+ regularly through our website, newsletter, Facebook page, and Instagram.
